CALM YOUR SEA!!

"Then they said unto him, what shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us?" Jonah 1:11. My friend, How few of us realize that our own SEAS are not calm because we have not dealt fairly with our fellows. And indeed , how little peace of mind is possible to one who mistreats another, for whatever reason. Personality differences, physical deformity, lack of mental aptitude, racial origins, are all of little consequence in man's attitude towards his brother, for the human family is interrelated by creation. When I was growing up in India, I threw a rock at our neighbor's dog, intending to drive him away. Unintentionally, hurt the dog's leg. But instead of running away, the dog came limping up to me and licked the hand that threw the rock. THAT DOG PREACHED THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT AS FEW OF US EVER PRACTICED IT. I took the dog and carried him back to my house, gave him necessary treatment and fed him for weeks. HE BECAME MORE OF A FRIEND THAN OUR OWN DOG. Bro: see, the sailors were reluctant to deal harshly with him, realizing that how they treated him would affect their own peace. ARE YOU IN PEACE? YOUR UNTHOUGHTFUL BEHAVIOR AFFECTING OTHERS?
