Your stuff is not yours!

"Naked a man comes from his mother's womb, and as he comes, so he departs". Ecclesiastes 5:15. You mean "your stuff isn't yours". Ask any coroner.. He will tell you "No one takes anything with him or her". I read that one of the richest man's accountant was asked by his neighbor "How much did he leave". "ALL OF IT" was the reply. Life is not defined by what you have, even when you have a lot. (Luke 12:15). Fear will always whisper "unless you get more, you won't be secure". My friend, happy people don't follow money- they follow their passion- for that's what gives their life meaning. It's a mistake to think that wealth buys a life of freedom, status, or worldly power. Bro: The rich usually become wealthy by sacrificing their freedom and leisure time. They sacrifice quality time with their spouse and children. At the end of the day, aren't they your asset? Status? well, that's a slippery slope too. Because no matter how far you climb there's always somebody ahead of you. Power? Hmm.. when power increases , you generally lose control of your life because of all the people you have to please and obligations you have to fulfill. There are some interesting Insurance companies slogans regularly appear as TV commercials. One commercial says "You are in good hands with Allstate". Well are you in good hands ?". I had an opportunity to consider these commercials in the context of the last words of Jesus from the cross of Calvary during my devotion time this morning. Just seconds before he died, Jesus cried out, "Into your hands I commit my spirit" (Luke 23:46). Notice that He did not commit His spirit to Peter, James, John, Pilate, Caiaphas or even the Roman soldiers. Jesus wanted to be sure He was in good hands, so He committed His spirit into the hands of God. Hey, hey, What are you running after buddy? Heaven does not know you as the person with lot of money, luxury cars, boat, mansion, nice suit or your fame, HEAVEN KNOWS YOUR HEART AND WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST! Tada! Am I preaching to you? Take it or leave it man!!!
